About Samantha Frances
Hi, I'm Samantha – a nomadic Impressionist Realism artist and military spouse, constantly moving with my husband's career. Life is an adventure, and while I embrace every new chapter, the southwest coast of the UK has always felt like home, with its breathtaking landscapes and coastal beauty grounding me wherever I go.
As a wildlife artist, I’m deeply inspired by the magical, colorful world beneath the waves. The underwater world is a constant muse, with its vibrant life and intricate patterns. My work captures the energy and connection we share with the natural world, particularly with wildlife, both on land and in the sea. Using a blend of mixed media, I bring this world to life through bold colors, visible brushstrokes, and fluid marks, all while maintaining a sense of movement and vitality.
I often incorporate elements from nature into my work, such as feathers and shells, creating a more intimate connection with my subjects. My art aims to reflect the profound beauty and the delicate balance we share with the world around us.
When I’m not painting, you’ll find me exploring new places, paddleboarding, wild swimming, or taking walks with my loyal Border Terrier, Netty.
