There's more to the violetear hummingbird than meets the eye. Male Mexican violetears are known for their bold and impressive courtship displays designed to attract mates. They begin by hovering above a female, before swiftly descending, creating a mesmerizing U-shaped pattern as they circle around. This captivating dance is often followed by a pause in mid-air, where the male serenades his beloved with a melodious courtship song.

Each of these special prints is individually hand-embellished with hand-made iridescent paint. As light interacts with the iridescent pigments, the colours come to life, adding an extra layer of depth and dynamism to the painting.

Prints are available in two sizes, and can be mounted (white mount) or provided framed (frames are black metal frame with Perspex screen). All mounts are titled, labelled with the limited edition number and individually signed by Samantha Frances.
